Jeremy Kimmelman is an Associate Attorney at The Law Offices of James L. Mr. Kimmelman earned his Juris Doctor from New College of California School of Law in San Francisco, a law school recognized for its public interest mission and commitment to serving underserved communities. From the beginning of his legal career, Mr. Kimmelman has been driven by a desire to help others, particularly individuals and families facing difficult circumstances, financial uncertainty, or complex legal challenges.
During law school, Mr. Kimmelman volunteered with the Criminal Defender Clinic, where he represented indigent clients through the Clean Slate Program and helped individuals overcome barriers created by past criminal records. This experience strengthened his understanding of how the legal system can affect a person’s future, stability, and opportunities, and it reinforced his commitment to client-centered advocacy.
Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Kimmelman proudly served four years in the United States Navy with the legendary Jolly Rogers F-14 Squadron. His military service instilled in him the discipline, integrity, resilience, and commitment to service that continue to guide his work as an attorney. These values shape the way he approaches each client matter, with preparation, accountability, and determination.
Mr. Kimmelman’s passion for the law is also deeply personal. Having experienced family legal battles at a young age, he understands firsthand the stress, uncertainty, and emotional toll that legal disputes can place on individuals and families. Those experiences strengthened his resolve to advocate for clients with empathy, focus, and unwavering dedication.
