Versatile Civil Advocate with Plaintiff and Defense Litigation Experience
Anthony S. Filer Jr. is a California attorney whose experience spans both the plaintiff and defense sides of civil litigation. His background includes catastrophic injury, product liability, medical malpractice defense, employment disputes, and tenant advocacy, giving him a broad perspective on how legal claims are developed, evaluated, and defended.
Mr. Filer has worked on catastrophic injury and product liability matters involving trucking, automotive incidents, and defective products. His experience includes coordinating with accident reconstruction and failure analysis experts to examine the technical evidence central to complex litigation.
He has also defended physicians, surgeons, and healthcare institutions in medical malpractice matters. This work involved reviewing medical records and evaluating care against the applicable standard of care, requiring careful attention to both legal and medical issues.
In employment law, Mr. Filer has represented employees in discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. Earlier in his career, he advocated for low-income tenants facing eviction in Los Angeles County, helping individuals confronting threats to their housing stability.

Outside the office, Mr. Filer is a devoted sports fan, enjoys attending live concerts, and spends his free time with his dog, Avery.
